What is Six-IR?
Six-IR is a free online image resizer that runs entirely in your web browser. It resizes photos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms, shrinks files under the KB limit you set, opens iPhone HEIC photos, and removes backgrounds with AI, with no account, no watermark and no upload.

How to resize a photo with Six-IR
- Open six-ir.com/app and drop in a photo (an iPhone HEIC works).
- Pick where it's going, such as Instagram portrait (1080 × 1350), or type your own size.
- Choose Fill (smart crop keeps faces in frame) or Fit (the whole photo on a blur or a colour).
- Optionally set a maximum file size, such as 100 KB, or remove the background.
- Press Make the file and download it.

Questions
Is Six-IR really free?
Yes. Resizing, cropping, HEIC, file-size limits, batches of 10 photos (80 files) and AI background removal are free with no account and no watermark.
Does Six-IR upload my photos?
No. Resizing, cropping and background removal happen in your browser. The only exception is the optional generative AI tools (expand, edit with words, face swap, create), which send the photo to an AI service to make the result.
Does Six-IR add a watermark?
No. Six-IR never adds a watermark.
What does a free account add?
A free account is optional. It adds a library of the files you choose to save (a small preview and the settings, not the full photo) and 10 one-time AI credits to try the generative tools, given once you confirm your email.
