Facebook image sizes: feed post, page cover, event cover
Facebook feed posts look best at 1080 pixels wide; a 4:5 portrait shows the most. Covers are wide banners, and the edges can be cut differently on phones and computers, so keep the important part in the middle.

Questions
What size is a Facebook post image?

What size is a Facebook page cover?
851 × 315 pixels is how it shows on a computer. Phones show a narrower slice, so keep faces and text near the centre.
