Website image sizes: link preview (1200 × 630), hero, product photo
The picture that shows when someone shares your link is 1200 × 630 pixels. Big banners at the top of a page are usually 1920 pixels wide, and shop product photos are often square. Smaller files load faster, so set a maximum file size too.

What size is a link preview (Open Graph) image?
1200 × 630 pixels, about 1.91:1. Facebook, LinkedIn, X and messaging apps all use it.
What size should a website hero image be?
1920 × 1080 pixels covers most screens. Save it as WebP or a good JPG to keep it light.
What size is a product photo?
A square 2048 × 2048 is a safe choice for most shop platforms and leaves room to zoom.
