Discord banner size: server 960 × 540, profile 680 × 240
A Discord server banner should be at least 960 × 540 pixels (16:9), and a 1920 × 1080 image also works; a Discord profile banner must be at least 680 × 240 pixels and under 10 MB.
Discord recommends a 16:9 server banner of at least 960 × 540 pixels and resizes a 1920 × 1080 image for you. Keep the top 48 pixels plain, because the server name sits there. Profile banners (a Nitro feature) must be at least 680 × 240 pixels. Pick a size below.

Questions
What size is a Discord server banner?
At least 960 × 540 pixels, 16:9. A 1920 × 1080 image works too; Discord resizes it. Keep the top 48 pixels simple so the server name is easy to read.
What size is a Discord profile banner?
At least 680 × 240 pixels, as a PNG, JPG or animated GIF under 10 MB. Only Nitro members can upload a banner image.
What size is a Discord profile picture or server icon?
Discord's help pages don't give a pixel size. They show as circles, so use a square image with the subject in the middle.
Can I use a photo with text on it for my server banner?
Discord advises against a logo or text in the server banner. Key art, a character still or a calm background works best.
