Twitch banner size (1200 × 480) and panel size
A Twitch profile banner is 1200 × 480 pixels, and info panel images can be up to 320 × 300 pixels and must be under 2.9 MB.
Twitch recommends a 1200 × 480 profile banner. It scales banners to 480 pixels high and stretches them on wide screens, so Twitch suggests keeping the main graphics on the left. Panels under your stream are at most 320 pixels wide and 300 high. Pick a size below.

How to resize a photo for Twitch

Twitch's help page doesn't list one. Twitch's own blog suggested 1920 × 1080 in 2017, with text and important parts near the centre.
